Our history

ATIB offers a variety of products and services that serve its clients from corporate sector and individuals, where ATIB funded a number of small and medium enterprises in many vital and important sectors in Libya with a dedicated team working on the development to provide modern and specific products designed to serve the small and medium-sized companies, and the target segment of the Retail, as well as providing financial services to the treasury and investment sector.

Established

ATIB was established in 1997 as a Libyan banking institution under the name of “Al-Ahli Bank of Tripoli”.

Became Libyan joint-stock company

The bank turned to a Libyan joint-stock company with a new management under the name “‘Assaray Trade and Investment Bank” (ATIB).

New Board of Directors and a New General Manager appointed.

ATIB appointed a new board of directors and a new General Manager and contracted one of the best global advisors in banking: Ernst & Young, to develop a new starting base to support the continued growth and development with a new strategy based on the strengths of ATIB in areas where it has a competitive advantage.

Launch of Strategic Projects

ATIB launched several strategic projects including the implementation of modern banking system, development of the new corporate identity project, development of the business environment and the level of services, in addition to the development of banking services provided to members of the project.

Became a Share Holder in Tadawul Technology

The Bank also contributes (10%) in Tadawul Technology as a strategic partner for financial solutions.

New Branches Openning

In mid-2018 It is expected that the number of branches reaches to (5) branch.

ATIB, by attracting qualified professional team of Libyan young talents, is strengthening the professional staff and its plans to develop a generation of young Libyan leaders to follow the series of successes and to seek a further prosperity and progress towards achieving the desired objectives in the coming years.
